A Taste of “Suite” Life

It was our first day as Mr. and Mrs. Hooff so Dennis thought of splurging a bit for our “post-honeymoon”. Due to time constraints, we didn’t have any preparation on where to have our honeymoon. So we just opt to check in and have a small and intimate celebration. Since I don’t have any idea what hotel to choose, I left the decision unto him.

We woke up late since we were both very tired the previous day. I asked him why he chose Van der Valk Hotel of all the hotels available in Hoofddorp, and he said because it has Jacuzzi! Huhh?? Well, he said he find it very “romantic” if we will both spend our intimate (play) time in a Jacuzzi. Hahaha okeeeeey.. :-p

Anyway, we arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. The interior of the hotel looks very elegant, though in the outside it doesn’t look appealing.

The Luxury Jungle Suite that my husband booked was very spacious, modern and spotless. Very very comfortable bed and pillows, great bathroom with walk-in rainfall shower, huge flat screen tv and mini fridge. The room even have a huge hammock were you can cuddle with your partner and enjoy the night together. It is well designed for couples who wants to have a wonderful night.

The hotel has a nice bar where we could stay and have an evening drink. Dinner and breakfast is good and well prepared, although some of the staff were a little less attentive than they could have been. Surprisingly, the suite doesn’t have tea/coffee maker but that’s not a problem. After all, we came there for their Jacuzzi šŸ˜‰

The hotel offers free shuttle to/from Schiphol airport, with 30 minutes interval in between.

The cost? Around 275 euros for 2 with buffet breakfast. Yeah I know it’s pricey. But we are after the experience, ofcourse. And besides, how many times will you get to have a honeymoon?
