The first one that comes to mind when you ask me about my dream destination is Santorini in Greece. Traveling from the other end of the world isn’t easy though and will require tedious planning and a lot of cash.
So, what I discovered just recently got me really excited. I found out a new haven, just inside the country. No, its not Sonya’s Garden but can you keep a secret?
nIt’s a dream come true to finally visit one of the most luxurious and amazing island resort of Bellarocca. We visited this internationally renowned, Santorini-inspired island paradise found at the very heart of our beloved country last Wednesday and ended our stay on Friday.
Took us only 40 min to get to the Marinduque Domestic Airport (but our flight got delayed for an hour), 45 mins land transfer provided by the resort exclusively for their guests (an airconditioned van). Then another 5mins rubber speed boat ride to the island itself.
You end up forgetting all about the hassle of getting there once you get to this little slice of paradise!
We were picked up by a golf cart and brought us to the reception area. Flower necklace were given to the guests, and a refreshing welcome drink.
OUR ROOM:
THE LAP POOL
Our room is located beside the lap pool. Easy access for us, yey! We are ready to have our Swimming 101 lessons. 😀
TARA LET’S EXPLORE!
We went back to the reception area for our Island Tour. They offer this for free to all the guests who wants to explore the island. The driver/staff drove us to the different villas and terrazas in the resort.
After camwhoring, we decided to head back to our room to change and have a dip at the lap pool.
DINING AREA:
By the time we finished our swimming 101, it’s already starting to get dark. So we decided to call it a day and go back to our room to get dressed. Then have our dinner afterwards.
There’s actually not much people by the time we went there (or was it too early?). We just had pasta since we had late afternoon snacks (Hawaiian pizza)
The resort offers complimentary water activities like snorkeling, kayaking and water sailing. Too bad we weren’t too courageous to try wind sailing.
Below is what we had for breakfast the next day:
And as for our lunch:
They also provide room service if you are too lazy to go out and order. Average meals in Bellarocca is P300-700/head via ala carte.
We stayed in Bellarocca Island Resort and Spa for only 3 days and 2 nights but everything was close to perfection. I maybe a bit sun burned now but I think everything was just really spectacular.
Thank you Bellarocca for putting smile on our faces, the comfort you have given and for letting us relish the famous Bellarocca-luxury. We definitely enjoyed our stay there. And we are looking forward coming back soon. =)
