And because of that, I am back on gathering documents again to meet the requirements like Birth Certificate and Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) to prove my singleness.
The plan is to get married in Netherlands because I have always wanted a simple and cozy wedding which is likely to be impossible in Philippines especially if “a foreigner” is involved.
There are lots of ways to get CENOMAR nowadays and lazy me applied for it online via E-Census because I don’t feel like falling in line (just go here). The difference is that I have to pay about 200 pesos more because documents will be delivered in the address I have specified via local courier like Air21. I paid it through my credit card and after a few minutes I got an SMS notification that my request has been received.
You can also check the status of your request on the same site. When I requested it on February 13, I got my CENOMAR two days after (Feb. 15). That’s how quick it is.
